Yvette Carnell is the founder of the weekly political show BreakingBrown, and also a writer of politics, race and wealth. Before embarking on a career in news media, she served as a Congressional aide, first to Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), and later to former Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR).
Her articles have been featured in the Huffington Post, Counterpunch and YourBlackWorld. She has been featured by national news outlets including, but not limited to: The Nation, The Guardian, Politico and NPR.
She received a B.A. in Political Science from Howard University.
