Spring Valley Students Walk Out in Support of Ex-Resource Officer Ben Fields

Spring Valley Students Walk Out in Support of Ex-Resource Officer Ben Fields

Former resource officer Ben Fields dumped a teenage girl from her chair and slid her across the floor. Fields arrested her as well as another student who was yelling at him over manhandling the girl. Both teens were charged with “disturbing school” and taken to jail. Still, some students at Spring Valley High School staged a walkout in support of Fields, who was fired over his use of excessive force.

From The State:

A group of Spring Valley High School students staged a peaceful walkout Friday morning in support of former Richland County deputy Ben Fields who was fired after a video surfaced of Fields forcibly removing a student from a classroom.

Spring Valley Principal Jeff Temoney said that the protest was “an orderly student-led activity.”

“Our students and our staff were safe and are on campus,” Temoney said.

“I addressed the students to let them know that we understood their need to make their voices heard,” Temoney said. “Then I reminded them that Spring Valley high is all about the business of teaching and learning, so it’s time to go back to class.”

In the minds of the students who walked out, what Fields did to their peer was OK. Firing him was not OK. In their minds, he’s the wronged party here.

Watch the video of these (mostly black) students standing up for the officer who flipped their orphan classmate’s desk and dragged her across the floor.

Top One Percenters: “I am Not Necessarily Comparing it to What People of Color Have to Go Through, But….”

Top One Percenters: “I am Not Necessarily Comparing it to What People of Color Have to Go Through, But….”

Some rich people in this country, a category of people that has grown immensely over the past few years, now require “wealth therapy”, according to The Guardian.

Former Wall Street worker turned therapist, Clay Cockell, meets and walks with his rich clients in Central Park to help them overcome the isolation of extreme wealth.

Although it’s not like being a person of color, it sorta kinda is, says Cockell:

I shifted toward it naturally,” he said of his becoming an expert in wealth therapy. “We are trained to have empathy, no judgment and so many of the uber wealthy – the 1% of the 1% – they feel that their problems are really not problems. But they are. A lot of therapists do not give enough weight to their issues.”

And as they stroll through Manhattan, what issues are America’s 1% struggling with? There is guilt over being rich in the first place, he said. There is the feeling that they have to hide the fact that they are rich. And then there is the isolation – being in the 1%, it turns out, can be lonely. It seems F Scott Fitzgerald was right, the very rich “are different from you and me”. Especially in 2015.

“The Occupy Wall Street movement was a good one and had some important things to say about income inequality, but it singled out the 1% and painted them globally as something negative. It’s an -ism,” said Jamie Traeger-Muney, a wealth psychologist and founder of the Wealth Legacy Group. “I am not necessarily comparing it to what people of color have to go through, but … it really is making value judgment about a particular group of people as a whole.”

How many black people would consider being rich, and usually white, as comparable to being a person of color?

White Cop Who Chris Dorner Accused of Excessive Force Sues Over “Racial Tension” at LAPD

White Cop Who Chris Dorner Accused of Excessive Force Sues Over “Racial Tension” at LAPD

The white LAPD cop who Chris Dorner accused of kicking a mentally ill man is now suing the department over racial allegations.

As previously relayed by the Los Angeles Times, Dorner accused his then partner, Sgt. Terie Evans, of kicking the mentally ill man:

Dorner’s case revolved around a July 28, 2007, call about a man causing a disturbance at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Pedro. When Dorner and his training officer showed up, they found Christopher Gettler. He was uncooperative and threw a punch at one of the officers, prompting Dorner’s training officer, Teresa Evans, to use an electric Taser weapon on him.

Nearly two weeks later, Dorner walked into Sgt. Donald Deming’s office at the Harbor Division police station. There were tears in Dorner’s eyes, the sergeant later testified.

Deming gave the following account of what happened next:

“I have something bad to talk to you about, something really bad,” Dorner told him.

Evans, Dorner explained, had kicked Gettler once in the face and twice in the left shoulder or nearby chest area. Afterward, Dorner said, Evans told him not to include the kicks on the arrest report.

“Promise me you won’t do anything,” Dorner asked Deming.

“No, Chris. I have to do something,” Deming responded.

An internal affairs investigation into the allegation concluded the kicks never occurred. Investigators subsequently decided that Dorner had fabricated his account. He was charged with making false accusations.

Dorner was stripped of his badge and later went on a killing spree that led to a statewide manhunt.

Now Evans, who is white, is suing the LAPD, accusing supervisors of retaliating against her because of the “racial connotations” in Dorner’s manifesto.

Evans alleges that Dorner’s complaint led to “racial tension” and harassment, culminating with her being blocked from promotions.

Members of the Black Elite Wanted to Sterilize the Black Poor [Video]

Members of the Black Elite Wanted to Sterilize the Black Poor [Video]

During every abortion debate, someone inevitably points to Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger and her role in eugenics programs. In so far as the black community is concerned, Sanger’s past is viewed as evidence that she wanted to sterilize black women. Fair enough. What’s often omitted from the conversation, however, is how many members of the Black Elite shared her goal of using black eugenics to weed out genetically unfit black people.

In an essay at Black Agenda Report, Pascal Robert describes the support for eugenics by these “race managers”:

What many don’t know is that DuBois’ Talented Tenth, who made up the first Black Mis-leadership class, were often Black Eugenicists who believed in selective breeding and Black population control through birth control techniques including forced and voluntary sterilization of poor Black women. These techniques would be used to purify the race of its “dysgenic” types as a means of racial uplift.

In Search of Purity: Popular Eugenics and Racial Uplift Among New Negroes 1915-1935,” by Dr. Shantella Y. Sherman illustrates the tragic history of how some of the early 20th Century Black Mis-leadership class fully supported eugenic theory using racial sterilization couched in language supporting birth control to limit the ability of poor Black women to have children. A veritable who’s who of early 20th century Black history from W.E.B. Dubois, Mary McCloud Bethune, Charles Drew and more were supporters of this widely supported Black Eugenics movement to basically rid America of the Black poor.

The ‘White Race’ is Really Nothing But a Members Only Club That Must Be Eliminated

The ‘White Race’ is Really Nothing But a Members Only Club That Must Be Eliminated

by Lee Elner

If we are to have social justice in this country, the White race must be eradicated. I imagine there is now coffee spit on some keyboards, and I think I just heard sphincters snapping shut like rat traps.

Let me explain.

That reaction underscores how f*cked up the debate over race and White supremacy is, in this country. Many who are engaging in the debate don’t actually understand what Whiteness and the White race are. Consequently, many of us lack the linguistic and cognitive tools to even have the discussion.

The White race in America is not an ethnicity, it has nothing to do with genetics or even, really, with pigmentation. The White race is a social club, and membership is conferred on certain ethnicities in order to buy them off, secure allegiance to the ruling class and the status quo.

Not every group with White race membership was a member from the start. The Irish, Italians and Jews were late admissions. I expect Hispanics to be admitted fairly soon. Membership confers certain privileges not extended to non-members. It is assigned by the ruling class as a political decision, based on the political and financial clout of the prospective member group. There are two schools of activism in response to White supremacy (White supremacy being what we call the differential privileges meted out to the White race social club membership.) Some are agitating for membership in the club.

If you understand that the White race is a social club and White privilege is its membership benefit, then the true nature of respectability politics, Black and Brown capitalism, and much of what is deemed “Identity politics” comes into sharp focus. This is the activist approach that is knocking on the door of the club and asking for admission into the membership, for a designation of Whiteness. It does not actually propose social change. To the contrary, it actually keeps the ruling class in power. That is the purpose and function of the club. Then there are those, like me, who want to disband the club, padlock the doors of the clubhouse and burn that motherf*cker to the ground. That is why I say we must eradicate the White race.

Calling for its eradication is no different than calling for the eradication of the KKK or the National Socialist Party. It does not mean that those now carrying the “White” membership card need to be killed or harmed. It is a social arrangement that must die, not the humans. They just lose their membership cards when the club is disbanded. Those who are responsible for founding and running this club? They’re the ruling class, and they set this whole thing up to fuck us all. They’re a different matter. Just a tiny number of sociopaths. They have names, faces, addresses, and they need to be on the receiving end of some justice. That can’t happen until the White race is eradicated, though.
