The United States Supreme Court just gutted the Fourth Amendment and handed over the rights of citizens to one of the most rogue police forces in the First World.
As an example, former Oklahoma police officer Daniel Holtzclaw was convicted of raping black women and sentenced to 263 years in prison. Now an Alabama police officer is under investigation for allegedly demanding oral sex from a driver.
Montgomery Officer Deonte Lashawn Hamner is accused of sexually assaulting a male victim after stopping the victim over a noise complaint, the Montgomery Advertiser reports:
After MPD began the investigation Tuesday, disciplinary proceedings against Hammer were initiated and he has been placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility ….
Hamner is charged with sodomy and is being held on $60,000 cash bond, the Associated Press reports.
The alleged assault occurred on June 14, Al.com reports.
A report by The Guardian revealed the number of cops who’ve had their badges revoked over sexual abuse charges.
“In a yearlong investigation of sexual misconduct by US law enforcement, the Associated Press uncovered about 1,000 officers who lost their badges in a six-year period for rape, sodomy and other sexual assault; sex crimes that included possession of child abuse images; or sexual misconduct such as propositioning citizens or having consensual but prohibited on-duty intercourse.”
There is no way to track officers who’ve gotten away their crimes.
