Residents in a Pennsylvania town vented their outrage after spotting a black baby doll hanging from a noose, with a knife in its back, and a Confederate flag used as backdrop.
Passerby Rachel Szolek complained about the display, which was tied to a fence, Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reports.
“We actually turned around because we had passed the house, and there it was, and the first thing was shock,” Szolek, who also posted pictures of the display on her Facebook page, told the news station.

“I just hope he has to take it down,” Szolek said. “That’s all I want, you know. I don’t care, I don’t want him punished. I just want him to take it down so we don’t have to look at it.”
East Huntingdon Township’s supervisor Paul Hodgkiss also expressed his opposition to the display.
“(I’m) definitely against anything like that in our township,” Hodgkiss said after learning of the display on Tuesday.
No one came to the door when a Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter knocked, but around 30 minutes later, the display had been removed.
