A black Confederate flag supporter died after having been run off the road.

Anthony Hervey of Mississippi, who often dressed in Confederate regalia and supported the flag, died in a car accident on Sunday when a 2005 Ford Explorer he was driving overturned.

Hervey, 49, swerved and crashed the vehicle after a group of young black men pulled beside the truck and began yelling at Hervey, says passenger Arlene Barnum.

“It spun like crazy and we flipped, flipped, flipped. It was awful,” she said.

Barnum posted a desperate messages on Facebook asking for help after the truck flipped over:

Barnum says she didn’t know much about Hervey, except that he, like her, was pro-Confederacy, so she gave him a ride to an Alabama rally and let him drive her truck.

“I didn’t know him, really,” Barham said of Hervey. “I gave him a ride to the rally.”

Barnum says her vehicle did not have a Confederate flag decal.

There is so much irony in this whole store.....very tragic. He didn't deserve to die.

Sometimes we can see insanity in a person's eyes. This is such a case. All the "confederate" support does is let us know what kind of "crazy" this person is afflicted with. That's all.

The fact that he is crazy is in his eyes.

Why didn't she call for help instead of ferrying on Facebook? Like Facebook was gonna help. Smh

I never understood why some Black people could be so stupid.  Confederate supporter?  He's probably the type who would report us to Massa for trying to escape.

Group of black men ran her off the road? Not likely. Stranger things have happened, but I think they were boozed/wrecked up and Arlene went Susan Smith.
